Amy Childs is a 20 year old busy Jordan wannabe from Brentwood Essex, we think as even she doesnt know. Amy is already sporting a dark, mahogany, slap on streaky fake tan along with the fake boobs that are about ten times bigger then her brain!
Although Amy is currently single, it is rumored that she could be dating a city banker? chances.. sky high!
She claims that she likes men 'Who know how to treat her right' which basically means buy her things...
However, Amy was quick to point out that she hates men that 'think they can buy her affection'..
because that would never happen... EVER!
She most famously made the terms famous 'well jel' which means jealous and 'vajazzle' which has claimed to have meant.. ermmm.. Making the genital area sparkly :|
Recently Amy has leaped into the world of wealth by buying a white 4x4 costing in the range of £75,000. Amys average pocket money for the month I would suppose...
Also making her own clothing line.. not copying anyone by any chance are you.. Babe? The fake, stupid, orange, clueless image has got Amy Childs.. well everywhere :/ Now that doesnt happen everyday.
She has leaped into clothing ranges, presenting, beautician and surprise surprise more reality tv shows all in the aid of becoming more famous, more rich and more and more annoying.
Yes Amy, Shutttttt'up!

Why are there no black women? Only ethnicity I see is orange..
ReplyDeleteI agree - I would call this a term such as cultural imperialism as it is practicing promoting a more powerful culture over a least known as desirable culture which in this case is the white working to upper class.
DeleteThese reality TV stars are just creating false needs - what they have we want and what they have we cant afford nor do we even need.
ReplyDeleteIn Amys case - she has false needs of her own. By looking up to someone who is apart of the elite class such as Katie Price who has more money than the average, Amy is buying into her commodites and creating an even bigger class division.
DeleteAll ideas of 'The truth' are just competing claims - also known as discourses - and what we believe to be the truth can majority of the time just merely be the winning discourse. Resulting in society never knowing the right from wrongs and the truth from lies.
ReplyDeleteUsing Amy as an example she is so fake that it is impossible to tell what the 'real' her is like! Im sure feminism would support my argument with saying that the way is portrays herself is defined as 'sex sells' - exploited for money.
DeleteObjects can have ambiguous meanings applied to them and can sometimes be misinterpreted. In the case of Amy Childs a white 4x4 used to convey someone living on off road tracks. In todays society a hwite 4x4 is used to convey ostentatious displays of wealth - which is defined as the ability to distance ones self from the dirty sordid details of production through living a life of leisure, learning and travel - This is epitomised by the notion that we describe what we HAVE rather than what we DO!
ReplyDeleteDifferences in taste and lifestyle are linked to the power structures within society. I put forward the oncept of habitus which can used to describe the tendancy to classify cultural products and practices in ways that relate to our social position. In other words, our class influences our choices of objects and products.
