Lydia Bright

Lydia Bright, always seen as the quieter one out of the crew however, you wouldn't of guessed but Lydia could be the reason that Kebab shops need bouncers in Essex..
Yes I did say Kebab shops and yes it is a typical Essex night out ending up in the local kebab hut munching out like there's no tomorrow..
CLASSY!

Oh, this is classy. Here’s Lydia Bright from TOWIE in a kebab shop, making an angry point, quite literally in the face of the security man.

I didn't realize shops that sell rotating chunks of animal flesh needed to employ burly men to protect, er, the meat. But they do in Essex it seems, because of the likes of little Lydia Bright.
She’s generally seems like a genuine girl, who has a great relationship with her mum, a sense of style all of her own and likes nice bright lipstick, which is very important.

But her pretty face soon became very distorted in the shop of blocked arteries and she was able to pull an interesting face. It was like a  bulldog chewing a wasp, complete with huffy hands ;)

  1. The way in which reality is constructed through various methods of communication. This is known as discourse - and a lot of it is shown in this TV show.

    1. Examples of this are shown in the story lines of the show. It is spoken down to you as if you are as dumb and stupid as those in show. It uses colloquial language - thinking that the users understands no other. How wrong they are!

  2. These shows frame women in ways that both play to and reinforce deeply ingrained societal biases about women, love and beauty.
Women who'd recoil at their presumed passivity or inferiority either are not cast, are edited to appear ditzy, or find their objections left on the cutting room floor. As a result, the "self-loathing single gal" (classic line: "I don't want to die alone!!!") joins the Bitch, the Bimbo, the Slut, and the Gold Digger as a dominant reality TV stock character. "I'm a loser… what is so wrong with me that someone cannot love me for who I am?"

  3. what kind of social relations are embodied in the show and what that helps us understand about the nature of contemporary capitalism. Producers and broadcasters are engaged in producing a marketable commodity, but to get the attention of the audience (and so sell it to the advertisers) they have to produce something that resonates with their intended audience and they have to recruit suitable participants.

    1. Meaning the oppression, exploitation and false class consiousness just continues to grow within society.
