Joey Essex

Joey Essex is a tangerine man with a magnificent bouffant, who can mainly be seen as part of the cast of The Only Way is Essex. Joey was introduced to the second series of the not so fly on the wall reality show as the cousin of Chloe Simms.

His hero is mark wright and maybe that would be why joey has set his sights on some of Marks previous love interests. Joe firstly had his eye set on Marks ex Lucy Mecklenburgh, however before doing so he did gain his permission. But sadly he was turned down.

However, a few weeks down the line she changed her mind but it was far too late, Joey had moved onto another one of Marks other ex's Sam Faiers and this time, he did not ask for Marks permission, and the pair were spotted having a snog in the Jacuzzi at Harry Derbridges 17th birthday party.

Joey is one suave playboy, whipping out killer chat up lines lines like 'do you fancy me?', so it is easy to see why all the ladies are falling for him....
Joey is quite the metro sexual and always makes sure he is totally tanned and even blow drys his hair to gain his 'famous hair do'.

Joey is willing to suffer for fashion, and has been know to go as far as to wearing shoes that are two sizes too small for him because he doesn't want people to think that he has clown foot..

Joey is most commonly known for his catchphrase 'Im looking reem' and for those that are not in the know.. We think it means hot :|

So on this basis and Joey Essex status going down the drain he did what every celebrity should do what they cant.. Sing. Yes and the name of the name of the song.. well just listen..

  1. Very simulated! has no originality as it is a direct and over exaggerated copy of society!

  2. This culturally imperialised - its promotes that a white british culture is more powerful or desireable over another as there as no other ethnicitys shown within the Tv programme only reinforcing a certain type of culture. This also relates to ethnocentrism as the show has a tendancy to believe that their ethnic group is centrqally important, and alll other ethnic groups that come into contact are measured in relation to one's own.

    1. In additon to this the way in which Joey Essex is portrayed is very ethnocentric as he has a tendancy to belive that his ethnic or cultural group is centrally important and that all other groups are measured in relation to his own making them less important in all matters.

  3. Patriarchal society where men rule over women. Treating women like they are sex objects - totally wrong.

  4. According to Marx the media has legitimized the dominate ideology and has taken over the viewers minds where they can now relate on a personal level.

    1. This has created the flase class consciousness where what the views watch on these reality TV programmes they believe, making them exploited as the auidence buy into what they believe is right.
